Dr. Shaun M. Williams is a professor of chemistry at Lenoir-Rhyne University. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Capital University and a PhD in Chemical Physics from The Ohio State University.

While at Lenoir-Rhyne University, Dr. Williams has taught introductory chemistry, general chemistry 1 and 2, calculus-based general physics 1 and 2, physical chemistry 1 and 2, inorganic chemistry, and computational chemistry. Additionally, Dr. Williams is the chemical safety officer for the Lenoir-Rhyne University science building as well as overseeing the undergraduate teaching assistants in the chemistry program.

In addition to his work at Lenoir-Rhyne University, Dr. Williams has served on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Academy of Science since 2010. Dr. Williams is currently serving as the annual meeting committee chair of the North Carolina Academy of Science.
